The network that brought us Breaking Bad and Mad Men wanted me to write a show about chicken wings.

And other things.

A former creative director brought me on as a creative consultant for AMC’s developing YouTube channel. His words were more or less, this project needs a weirdo; that’s you. Are you free?

And as way leads to way, creative consulting turned into being the head writer of a show about the weirder side of 2020 (see: murder hornets, Zombie storms, and Elon Musk in general). The network loved this show so much, they didn’t even wait for the YouTube premiere to order another season.
