Hi, I’m Lesley and I tell stories.

Here’s a few things I’ve picked up as both a creative professional and lifelong reader of cereal boxes and catalogues:

  1. Words conceived without a visual strategy are a staircase to nowheresville.

  2. Only submit work that you’re proud of and assign work that you’re excited to read. Anything else is for the birds.

  3. You can’t have cookies for breakfast, but you can have Cookie Crisp is a solid rhetorical device. And also my yoga mantra.

Here’s what some very nice people had to say.

I actually can't even describe what a gift it has been to work with Lesley. She shows up with great ideas that are fleshed out, researched and ready to go. She is a great writer, but she also has the ability to think beyond the words to how an entire campaign should feel on every level, from start to finish. She is just a dream to work with.

-Chris Bilheimer, Creative Director, Alamo Drafthouse

“Lesley worked tirelessly to make me embrace the correct dash. It didn’t take, but her perseverance in doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results is not at all insanity and should be commended.”

— Megan Reardon, Head of Social Media, Alamo Drafthouse

With her eloquence, insight, and keen wit, Lesley is like a modern-day Nora Ephron. Am I saying that because she’s my boss? Partially!

— Sam Cooke, Copywriter, Alamo Drafthouse

“Lesley is all brass tacks (and silver tacks too). Might as well call her Randy Johnson because she can pitch up a storm.”

— Steve Bessette, Creative Training & Dev Manager, Alamo Drafthouse
