ALAMO FAMILY: Creative Lead

How do you make a grown-up brand kid-friendly?

Easy. Throw paint balloons at it.

There’s a little more to it than that. Mostly getting right to the heart of the Alamo brand identity and then forgetting everything we knew about business casual slacks and insurance deductibles. This is almost nothing, but good riddance all the same.

Inspired by The Electric Company and vintage PBS kids shows, we hit the ground running on an all-new family brand that would be f-u-n for kids and adults alike.

All Ages & Kid Friendly Shows

Just like it sounds, our special All Ages Shows have lifted all age restrictions so babies, kiddos, and families can join in on the all-ages fun. Nursing will be A-OK and a loosened No Talking policy will accommodate extra wiggles, giggles, and babies being, well, babies.

All Ages Shows will also include 20% off ticket discounts for kids 12 and under, activity sheets and crayons to keep little hands busy before the show, free rewards for kiddos, and a kids menu with fun (and nutritious!) specials.

Sensory Friendly Shows

Our all-inclusive shows welcome babies, infants, nursing moms, and guests with autism or other sensory needs. To accommodate little ears and folks with sensitive hearing, we turn down the volume to a comfortable level. We also make the theater a little less dark so guests can safely and easily get up, walk around, tend to baby, and find that runaway binkie that fell between the seats. (We see you, moms!)

Chatter, rustling, adaptive technology, and late arrivals are perfectly okay.

As for the most challenging, yet most rewarding part of all?

Writing highly technical instructional copy for how to play that dang dot game.
